League Director: Save, export and publish

Operational reference for save, export and publish in League Director.

Save, export and publish

Save draft is local only. Export ZIP contains a reusable JSON draft, spreadsheet-safe CSV and UTC iCalendar schedule. Imports become new unlinked drafts, so they cannot accidentally overwrite a different Hub entity. Private drafts are under ~/.ga360-league-director/drafts, outside installed code; updates retain them. Optimistic revisions prevent overwriting a newer local draft.

Publish schedule explicitly writes scheduled Hub events and tournament bracket descriptions where applicable. Streaming starts disabled. Re-publishing updates only events owned by that linked draft, without replacing live/completed events. Existing Hub team/venue booking conflicts are checked using recorded game end times; unmanaged events without an end time reserve two hours. Changes to a published plan that would remove games are rejected; manage those games in Hub before restructuring. Hub entity version checks reject stale edits, and the schedule changes are transactional. Existing concurrent game editing outside this app may still require director review.

Details updates change name/description and supported contact/location/date fields. Posts are plain text, saved as draft or explicitly published publicly. Existing posts may be selected for editing. Author identity comes from the signed-in Hub user. Public status changes require announcement permission. Entity-linked posts appear in its existing news and management sections.

If a write times out, do not blindly retry: export the local draft, reload the Hub record and review the result. New schedule and post writes have stable identifiers to avoid duplicate creations; stale versions require a review. The app does not delete leagues, tournaments, games, users or posts. It does not create a new paid organizer entity automatically.

Automated local HTTP/planning/UI checks and simulated installer/update checks are supplied. Hub Rails and native Mac/OBS/touchscreen tests require the target environment and were not executed here.
