Single Camera Kiosk: Automatic station scheduling
Operational reference for automatic station scheduling in Single Camera Kiosk.
Automatic station scheduling
In Sports Hub, open Account → My Camera Kiosk → Automatic station schedule. Create a named station and assign its events, then copy its Station ID and schedule code. Event permissions and camera subscription benefits are checked at assignment and again when starting. The code is limited to that station's assigned events. Disabling the station or rotating its code prevents future automatic starts.
At the kiosk, unlock operator setup, prepare/check the installed camera and sound, and open Automatic station schedule. Enter the station ID/code, enable automation and approve unattended camera use. This persists a private station credential and camera approval, separate from customer passwords/session tokens. A later camera connection change requires approval again. The kiosk must remain powered on, have OBS/camera connectivity and a synchronized clock. Automatic scheduling is handled by the kiosk controller; no separate scheduler service is required.
Assigned events start at their Hub start time without a customer signing in or arming them. The screen stays locked to the preview; the station's schedule owner can sign in to unlock controls. Scorekeeper Final/Canceled stops the stream and releases the kiosk. Station scheduling survives controller restarts; existing active scheduled output is attached without repeating StartStream, and an interrupted assigned broadcast can resume after fresh authorization/engine checks.
When no automatic event owns the camera, a customer can sign in and activate it using their subscription. The next automatic event and start time are displayed. New customer starts close two minutes before that start; an active customer stream is stopped and its session released at the scheduled handoff. Overlapping automatic events never interrupt the current automatic event. They wait and run only within five minutes of their start; older missed events are skipped and shown as missed, avoiding stale broadcasts. A customer can still use the idle camera afterward. Subscription or assignment changes, unavailable Hub/OBS, clock mismatch or changed camera approval prevent automatic starts.
