Single Camera Kiosk: staff setup and customer operation

Prepare a shared camera, select an event and understand scheduled or truck-controlled priority.

Updated November 4, 2026 · 2 minute read

Staff preparation

A station administrator installs the camera and dependencies, connects OBS, chooses the camera/audio source and tests the picture and meter. Use station administration for device setup and scheduled/truck-sharing configuration. A customer should not need to repair system dependencies to activate an event.

Customer event workflow

  1. Connect the intended account and find the event. Search by date or name and clear stale filters if it is missing.
  2. Select the event and confirm the app shows that event as active. Check that video is enabled and a publishing destination is assigned in Hub.
  3. Prepare the camera using the station's saved configuration. Inspect the actual preview and sound before confirming readiness.
  4. Start now or use the supported armed start workflow. A selected event alone does not mean broadcasting has begun.
  5. During a locked broadcast, use the configured owner unlock process. End the event/output normally and verify it stopped before handing the kiosk to another user.

Automatic schedules and truck sharing

Approved station schedules can take priority over customer activation. A configured production-truck reservation has its own exclusive control behavior. Read the current station status before diagnosing a missing customer control. Changing camera setup can invalidate previous readiness approval; approve again after testing the changed device setup.

Non-sports venues

Use the saved venue profile for worship, education, conference or community guidance and create a General event in Hub. These presets do not invent a destination or bypass account access. Verify dates, station assignment and sound for each event.
