Single Camera Kiosk: Station administration
Operational reference for station administration in Single Camera Kiosk.
Station administration
The normal customer screen contains no admin link, setup, PTZ, training, schedule, truck-sharing or engine forms. Configure the station from a separate admin browser session at http://127.0.0.1:8879/admin. First set the workstation PIN with python app.py --set-operator-pin, then start the kiosk normally. Use python app.py --admin when launching directly into administration; if it is already running, open the admin address in a separate operator browser profile. The service stays bound to loopback.
Administration has a separate HttpOnly, SameSite cookie, PIN authentication and a five-minute inactivity expiry. Customer requests cannot use admin endpoints even while an administrator is signed in through another browser. Use Lock administration before returning a shared browser to a customer. A separate operator profile avoids sharing the administrator session. Customer event activation does not need admin credentials.
Camera & audio saves and tests the installed source without an event. PTZ & AI tuning loads existing nonsecret settings and supports VISCA, PELCO and NDI. Blank camera or analysis addresses retain the saved address; secrets are not returned in admin state. Training data captures, annotates and exports reviewed frames. Diagnostics shows engine, CPU, camera, AI and station assignment status. Publishing output continues to use the event destination.
Returning to the customer screen in an authenticated admin browser immediately revokes that admin session.
