GA360 Workstation: Touchscreen operation
Operational reference for touchscreen operation in GA360 Workstation.
Touchscreen operation
Buttons, the discreet administrator dot and PIN keypad accept direct tap press/release without relying on a mouse hover/Enter event. One release invokes the existing command once. Disabled buttons stay disabled; releasing outside or dragging beyond the tap threshold cancels activation. Enter and Space remain supported. PIN cooldowns, account entitlements and administrator-only app switching are unchanged.
Swipe vertically on card backgrounds, labels or card buttons to scroll the application list. A swipe over a button scrolls and cancels its action. Mouse-wheel scrolling still works; dialogs and other windows are not scrolled. This uses Tk pointer events supplied by the Linux desktop and introduces no input driver or external service. If the Linux desktop supplies no touch events, its device mapping/driver still needs checking.
Run bash ./install-linux.sh as the signed-in desktop user to update Workstation, then reopen it. No reboot startup option is needed. This update retains the existing startup preference. Native touchscreen verification is required; automated event tests cover no-hover taps, disabled/mid-tap-disabled buttons, jitter, outside release, drag-out-and-back cancellation, keyboard invocation and clamped card swipes.
