Scoreboard Designer: map data and test the output
Build a readable scoreboard and verify field values, fallbacks and live behavior.
Prepare the project
Choose the intended canvas and event/sport context. Decide which information the display must communicate at its real viewing distance. Design for long team names, large scores and readable clock/count/status rather than only the short sample values.
Map and validate
- Create/open the supported project and arrange text, shapes and images.
- Select the correct event/sample payload and map fields using the available data-binding controls.
- Test zero, empty/missing values and long text. Use suitable fallbacks or hiding behavior instead of leaving a broken label on screen.
- Preview at the intended output resolution. Check contrast, safe margins and the complete layout.
- Save/export through the supported workflow and configure the actual output consumer to use the intended artifact.
Live data checks
A sample payload is a preview aid; it is not proof of a working live event feed. Confirm the correct event, network access, field paths and any stale-data indication. Do not place account tokens or private data in a public feed or exported graphic.
Revise a running output
Keep a saved project before major changes. Re-export/re-import or refresh the configured output as required by the workflow; editing the local draft alone may not change a previously deployed artifact. Verify the viewer's screen after updates, including score/clock changes. The designer presents data and does not replace authorized event scoring controls.
