GA360 Official Review: Install or update
Operational reference for install or update in GA360 Official Review.
Install or update
On an Ubuntu 24.04+ desktop, extract the current ZIP and run bash install-linux.sh as your desktop user. The installer retains FFmpeg, GStreamer, Tk and browser support and adds the same pinned OBS / DistroAV / NDI / Source Record package setup as Production Truck. OBS must be closed for plugin maintenance. Avahi discovery failures warn without aborting the base installation. Source Record is required for OBS replay; direct capture and finalized-file import remain available without it. For existing Debian/direct-capture installations, bash install-linux.sh --direct-only keeps the earlier direct capture route without installing the Ubuntu OBS package.
On macOS 13+, run bash install-macos.command; see MACOS.md. Native Python 3.11+, Tk, Chrome/Chromium, FFmpeg/ffprobe, OBS, DistroAV and the NDI runtime are prerequisites. The verified upstream Source Record universal package is bundled, installed in the user domain through the established native installer, and remains subject to macOS verification. If plugin installation is deferred or rejected, clip import still works; install Source Record before using OBS buffers.
Stable code location: ~/.local/share/gameaction360-official-review. Private settings, reviews and incidents: ~/.ga360-official-review. New OBS settings are under its obs-replay subfolder, mode 0600. Saved OBS passwords are not returned by the local API. A separate optional requirements-obs.txt adds websockets 16; existing requirements and FFmpeg/GStreamer dependencies remain. The app-owned Python environment is reused, repairing pip/dependencies when needed. No independent daemon or system service is added. No reboot startup is enabled by default; Workstation subscription entitlements and administrator app selection/lock remain unchanged.
Updates use the verified standalone updater or Workstation, retain previous-code rollback and preserve settings, incidents, recordings, runtime and startup preferences. The OBS dependency hook runs only if the verified OBS package/helper files changed. Native installer changes are not uninstalled by a code rollback. Close OBS for this first OBS-capable update. Launch with python3 app.py --no-browser for http://127.0.0.1:8882 or bash launch-kiosk.sh for kiosk mode.
