My Bag, shot tracking and Caddie recommendations

Build an accurate equipment record and understand how recorded shots affect club guidance.

Updated November 4, 2026 · 1 minute read

Set up My Bag

Open My Bag under your golfer account. Add the clubs you actually carry, using the available manufacturer/model and club information. Review the active/default bag where supported. Duplicate clubs and incorrect labels make later shot history harder to interpret.

Record useful shot history

  1. During a round, select the correct club before recording the shot.
  2. Use the app's supported shot start/end or distance workflow. Check the displayed units and distance before saving.
  3. Correct or remove an erroneous recent shot using the provided controls rather than leaving a clearly incorrect distance in your history.
  4. Review per-club averages in the equipment/history workspace. A few unusual or misrecorded shots can distort an average.
  5. Keep the selected course/hole and location state accurate if the recording method uses GPS.

Use Caddie as guidance

Club recommendations depend on the information and history available and may require the relevant entitlement. A recommendation is not a measurement of wind, lie, elevation or your current swing. Compare its distance and club choice with conditions and your own judgment.

If guidance seems unreasonable

Check the active bag, club labels, distance units and recorded shot history. Distinguish an unavailable paid feature from a missing-data recommendation. Include the target distance, selected club and relevant history in a report, without exposing private account credentials.
