Create an event for worship, concerts, classes or meetings
Use General event without teams and connect production or admission workflows.
Use the General event category
In the Hub event form, choose General event in Sport / event category. This category supports concerts, worship services, conferences, education and community events without requiring home and away teams. The category is a way to create an event, not a new subscription plan or a new public sports lane.
Prepare the event
- Enter an informative name, date/time and venue information. Confirm the Hub time zone and displayed event time before scheduling equipment.
- Assign the responsible organization or authorized staff as appropriate. Existing permissions still control who can edit or operate the event.
- For video, enable and configure the event's publishing workflow and assign the intended truck/camera station. A category choice alone does not create a stream destination.
- For physical admission, open the event's Admission page. Create named options such as Adult or Student and review dates, price, re-entry and payment destination.
- In the local production app, select a matching venue/production preset and test it with the event.
Verify the attendee and operator experience
Inspect the event as an ordinary viewer and the station as its intended operator. Confirm name, dates, video availability and ticket information. Test schedules with staff before relying on unattended starts. Do not assume a public event grants anyone control over its camera or admissions.
If the category is absent
Check the Hub build and whether database migrations completed during deployment. Updating only a desktop app does not add a new category to an older Hub server.
