Course Intelligence and narrated walkthroughs
Inspect the route, elevation, splits and available walkthrough media in the correct course view.
Open the correct course
Confirm the course name and event/layout before interpreting a route or elevation profile. Course Intelligence depends on the underlying mapping and uploaded media. Not every course has the same completeness, viewpoint or narration coverage.
Use the available views
- Inspect the route against the aerial/base map and verify start/finish and named points.
- Read the distance/elevation units and compare the route position with the profile where shown.
- Use split/waypoint labels to orient yourself rather than assuming a camera cut indicates a course checkpoint.
- Play the supported course walkthrough or FPV view and check its associated route position and contextual references.
- For narration problems, note the playback time and the point on the course where the spoken instruction should apply.
Report useful corrections
Include the course/layout, view used, selected point or playback timestamp, and what is wrong: route geometry, distance, elevation, missing media or narration alignment. A screenshot of the map and the relevant timestamp is more actionable than saying the walkthrough looks wrong.
Course managers
Review source survey/media and the published output after updates. Do not compensate for narration timing by changing valid route points. Keep the original survey/media until you have confirmed the revised output and can trace which data produced it.
