Rocket City built a five-run lead by the seventh inning, highlighted by Juan Flores’ two-run homer. Despite a late rally by Knoxville, the Trash Pandas' bullpen held firm, with Luke Murphy earning his 18th save. The win evened the six-game series at one game each.

On July 22, the Akron RubberDucks won a thrilling 7-6 game in 10 innings against the Altoona Curve at 7 17 Credit Union Park. Trailing late, Akron scored multiple runs in the ninth to extend, then delivered a squeeze bunt walk-off in the 10th inning. Key contributions included a pinch-hit two-run homer by Jaison Chourio and clutch batting by Dean Curley, Aaron Walton, and Alex Mooney. The RubberDucks improved their record in extra-inning games.
