Scoreboard Kiosk: Install and assign the display

Operational reference for install and assign the display in Scoreboard Kiosk.

Install and assign the display

  1. On the Ubuntu desktop, extract this package and run sh install-linux.sh as the normal desktop user. The installer installs Python/Chromium, creates separate display/admin desktop shortcuts, enables login autostart and asks for the station administrator PIN.
  2. Launch Game Action 360 Scoreboard Kiosk. Before assignment, the public screen shows a neutral station message with no setup controls.
  3. Open the separate GA360 Scoreboard Station Administration desktop shortcut, or visit http://127.0.0.1:8880/admin from another local browser profile. Enter the station PIN.
  4. In Sports Hub, open the defined digital scoreboard’s management page and copy its Public display URL, normally https://www.gameaction360.com/digital-scoreboards/<access_token>. Add it to the station. The kiosk verifies both the actual page and live scoreboard API before saving it. Do not use the JSON/API, admin, editor or demo URL.
  5. The first saved board becomes active. Save additional game/preview displays and choose Run this scoreboard to assign one to this station. This version displays one defined board at a time; use separate station PCs for separate physical boards.
  6. Configure the connected screen as the Ubuntu primary display. Use native 1920×1080 or 3840×2160 for 16:9 boards. Orientation and sport layouts remain in Sports Hub. Enable Ubuntu desktop auto-login and disable screen blanking/sleep to complete unattended power-on operation.

The kiosk opens the original Sports Hub page directly in a sandboxed, fullscreen Chromium profile. It does not embed the board in an iframe or reimplement its layout. Sport-specific live scores, player panels, game previews, sponsors, weather, event assignment and Digital Scoreboard System rules continue to come from the existing display. This is a display player; scoring stays with the Sports Hub scorekeeper. No Sports Hub deployment update is required for existing public digital scoreboard endpoints.
