Production Truck: Independent SRT source outputs
Operational reference for independent srt source outputs in Production Truck.
Independent SRT source outputs
Open Source outputs, choose an existing OBS input source, enter a separate SRT destination and video bitrate, then Save output setup. Saving creates an idle, dedicated GA360 SRT Source Record filter; it does not start a transmission or change the program destination. Press Start SRT for each feed, and Stop SRT to end that feed independently. Different sources can transmit simultaneously while the program and ISO recordings remain independent. Each source has one managed SRT destination; use separate receiver ports or receiver stream IDs. Scenes are not listed in this input-source picker.
Requires the installed OBS Source Record plugin with streaming support and OBS's SRT/FFmpeg muxer. The bundled Source Record 0.4.8 source implements streaming with a custom service and MPEG-TS output for non-RTMP URLs. Default encoding is H.264 software x264, CBR at the selected kbps, two-second keyframes and AAC 160 kbps using the source's audio. Each feed uses an additional encoder and upload bandwidth. Change additional encoder settings in its dedicated filter in OBS while stopped; saving setup reapplies the app's encoder defaults. No new plugin, service or external encoder process is installed.
SRT URL example: srt://receiver:9000?mode=caller&latency=200000. Use mode=listener and a unique local port when the receiver calls OBS. Additional SRT parameters, including passphrase/stream ID, belong in the URL; percent-encode reserved characters such as # in parameter values. Destinations may contain secrets: settings are private local files, and the destination appears only when editing its setup. Start is blocked when the source identity, saved destination or OBS collection differs, or output status is uncertain. Stop targets only that dedicated filter. State shows starting until OBS confirms an active output, with an error after ten seconds without confirmation. It cannot verify that a remote receiver displays correct video/audio; test each receiver.
Outputs are owned by OBS. Closing Production Truck or stopping the program stream leaves these feeds running. Source Record persists streaming mode in OBS: stop the feeds before restarting OBS if they must not resume. Configuration itself never starts a feed. Active or unverified source outputs block camera remapping, event/profile/collection changes and managed OBS maintenance. To remove setup, stop and verify idle, then Remove setup; only that dedicated SRT filter is removed. ISO filters, other sources and program settings are retained.
