Production Truck: Cameras are OBS sources
Operational reference for cameras are obs sources in Production Truck.
Cameras are OBS sources
Camera setup maps a truck camera slot to an existing OBS source (input) and an OBS scene containing it. Choose the OBS source name from the list and select Use existing OBS source, then Save mapping. The application reads the source kind, identity and connection properties directly from OBS, including NDI sender or network media URL. It preserves capture-device settings and plugin properties. Read source properties shows the current properties without modifying OBS or saving a mapping; the expanded properties may contain credentials and should stay private. Edit source properties in OBS and read again. A scene may contain multiple sources and overlays; select a scene that actually contains this camera. The source picker shows inputs, not scenes.
Creating a new network source is a separate action using a new source name, connection and address. Existing OBS sources are never overwritten or deleted by binding. Existing camera mappings continue to work; select Use existing OBS source to bind their connection to OBS. Shared kiosk relay assignments remain managed by Sports Hub. Camera labels and scene mappings remain separate from the source's properties.
For bound NDI cameras, joystick connection checks the actual OBS source sender before connecting. While its controls are connected, normal OBS polling rechecks that source; a confirmed changed sender or source identity invalidates the old control session. Temporary OBS loss or unavailable source verification pauses movement while retaining the receiver; valid verification must return before movement can resume. Controls do not automatically retarget a moving camera. Rebind a replaced source before reconnecting. PTZ commands still go directly through NDI.
