Production Truck: Per-camera ISO recording — 0.0.3101
Operational reference for per-camera iso recording — 0.0.3101 in Production Truck.
Per-camera ISO recording — 0.0.3101
The Production Truck 1.0.2 full Ubuntu installer includes Source Record setup. For a remote OBS engine, run python3 obs_package.py install from this release on the OBS computer, then restart OBS. Map each camera to its own OBS input in Camera setup. In ISO recordings, click Check ISO support, save each camera’s ISO setup, and test individual record/stop. A blank folder uses the OBS recording folder / ISO / Camera-number. Custom folders must be absolute paths on the OBS computer. Local storage is checked before start; remote storage must be verified on OBS.
Each configured camera records its own input and source audio into an MP4 file (or MOV when selected) while you switch the program normally. Source Record uses the OBS profile’s encoder defaults; monitor encoder/GPU capacity and disk throughput with every camera recording. Confirm actual picture and sound in each saved ISO before production. Start configured ISOs and Stop all configured ISOs send per-camera commands sequentially; group starts are not frame-synchronized. Partial failures identify the affected camera numbers without stopping successful recordings.
The page reports Starting until OBS confirms an active output, then displays recording time, size and actual file location. Disconnects show Unknown; an unconfirmed start becomes an error. Do not assume a recording exists solely because a command was sent. Stop ISO explicitly before changing camera mappings, event assignments, OBS presets or engine maintenance. Program recording and streaming have separate controls.
ISO setup is retained in private iso-recording.json under the station data directory, outside installed source. Closing or updating the controller does not stop ISO outputs; reopening recovers their actual state without sending new starts. Source Record’s always-record mode is saved by OBS and can resume if OBS itself reloads; stop ISOs before planned OBS maintenance. Files include a camera number, OBS timestamp and unique session suffix. Other source filters and existing recordings are retained.
Integration references: Source Record source and settings and OBS WebSocket requests. Source Record, DistroAV and the NDI runtime are installed by the included OBS setup helper; their pinned upstream downloads and SHA-256 values are declared in obs_package.json. The proprietary NDI runtime is fetched from its vendor during installation rather than embedded in the app ZIP.
