Production Truck: Camera assignment, readiness and venue profiles
Operational reference for camera assignment, readiness and venue profiles in Production Truck.
Camera assignment, readiness and venue profiles
Camera setup → Open assignment wizard reads the currently loaded OBS collection. Choose an existing numbered camera, inspect an existing OBS input, and select a scene where that input is visible. Sources and scenes claimed by another numbered camera are unavailable. Confirm the physical picture, then Assign camera with all outputs stopped. The existing input is reused; Program and Preview are not switched. Use Add local camera / Source & scene to create a new local slot or input first. Paired camera slots continue to come from Sports Hub.
Readiness → Run readiness check inspects source identity, nested scene/group visibility, NDI sender identity and assigned ISO storage. Inspect each actual picture and test PTZ directions and release-to-stop, then Save verification for each camera. USB status names the chosen controller and current control target; it does not claim the camera moved correctly. Fresh-frame delivery, actual sound and physical PTZ operation require operator confirmation. The original video/audio/destination sign-off remains the broadcast sign-off. Changes to camera assignments or OBS context expire camera verification; profile recall resets sign-off. Remote disks require inspection on the OBS computer.
Engineering → Saved production profiles saves a named venue/sport setup. It includes numbered camera mappings and labels, configured overlay visibility, local graphic references, PTZ travel-limit settings, audio levels/mutes/recording tracks, ISO settings, managed source-output filter settings, recording folder and monitor/content choices. Save new profiles, explicitly replace a selected profile, recall it, or delete it. Save/recall requires all outputs stopped, including externally configured OBS outputs. Recall disconnects PTZ control, disables Auto Cut, and leaves USB movement disabled; enable it again after verifying the setup. Recording and streaming are started explicitly by the operator.
Profiles refer to installed OBS profiles and scene collections; they do not create independent copies of those OBS files, graphics assets or presets stored in physical cameras. Keep those installed. Missing sources, changed bound UUIDs, changed NDI senders, missing filters/overlays or a different engine/truck prevent recall. The application attempts to restore the previous context and settings after a failed recall and reports if recovery needs inspection. Profiles are stored privately on this workstation and may contain camera addresses and source-output connection settings. Engine credentials, Hub pairing tokens and program stream keys are not copied into profiles. Recall restores display choices; use Open assigned display to open the selected projector.
The Live desk shows input/mapping state, Program/Preview tally, PTZ selection/connection and the USB target separately. “Input loaded” is configuration status, not proof of fresh video.
