League and tournament planning, brackets and publishing

Build a plan, review its constraints and publish the intended schedule or bracket.

Updated November 4, 2026 · 1 minute read

Prepare the inputs

Use League Director or Tournament Director for its intended job and confirm organizational access. Prepare team names, venues/fields, dates and the format/constraints supported by that app. A planning draft is different from published Hub events.

Build and inspect

  1. Select the appropriate league/tournament context and enter teams and scheduling/bracket requirements.
  2. Generate or edit the plan using the supported controls.
  3. Review team participation, rounds, venue capacity, start times and conflicts. A generated schedule still needs operator review.
  4. Save/export the plan before substantial revisions, especially if it will be reviewed on another computer.
  5. Use the supported publish action only after confirming destination/context and the resulting event records.

Verify the public result

Open the intended league/tournament site as a normal viewer. Check schedule, bracket progression, team links and event dates. Distinguish an unpublished preview or local draft from a public page. Do not assume changing a draft automatically updates previously published events.

Recover from an uncertain publish

Inspect existing Hub events before trying again. Repeating a publish can be different from updating the same plan, depending on the workflow. Keep the exact success/error message, plan identity and any generated event identifiers. Ask an authorized manager to correct the intended records instead of deleting broad sets of events.
