Why can I sign in but not see an app, course or event?
Understand subscription entitlements, organization roles and record-specific permissions.
Three different access checks
An account identifies you. A plan can grant use of an application or feature. A role or assignment determines which teams, courses, events or stations you may manage. Passing one check does not imply the others. Public help does not require paid access, but following an article does not grant its described permissions.
Find the missing requirement
- Confirm the signed-in email and intended organization/account. Check Account and Subscriptions for active access.
- In Workstation, refresh the connected account and inspect Application directory. Categories only show applications permitted to that account.
- If the app opens but a record is absent, ask the record's authorized administrator to verify the assignment. For course staff, the particular management permission can matter; for admission, check-in staff and price-setting managers are different roles.
- If an event is missing, check search dates, filters, event status and video enablement before deciding it is a permission problem.
- After an authorized change, refresh or reconnect the relevant app. Preserve the actual denial message if access still fails.
Licenses and connectivity
Standalone applications verify renewable Hub-issued access. A valid old installation is not a permanent offline entitlement. Outages do not extend the last verified expiry. Reconnect before an event and resolve access problems before relying on a station for live work.
Changes to a plan
Review the actual included features and effective subscription status. Avoid purchasing a second plan until you know whether the issue is missing entitlement, pending signup, wrong account or an absent organization role.
