Soundboard: Sound desk
Operational reference for sound desk in Soundboard.
Sound desk
80 music and event pads in nine banks: Baseball & Softball, Basketball, Football, Hockey, Soccer, Racing & Track, Golf, Volleyball & Indoor, and PA & Transitions. The pack now uses recorded whistles, air horns, audience reactions, bells and percussion, plus a real small-gym buzzer excerpt. It replaces the earlier oscillator-generated crowd effects and melodies. See SOUND_CREDITS.md for the source list and processing. Commercial songs and official team recordings are not bundled. Add sound imports locally supplied music or announcements.
Click a pad to play/stop; sounds can overlap. Escape/STOP ALL stops everything. Pause/resume and a two-second fade act on active sounds. Edit sets name, color, volume, shortcut, start time, duration (zero means to the end) and repeat. Each bank holds up to 64 pads; up to 100 banks. Master starts at 25% or lower each session. Test low venue volume before use.
Audio stays on this computer and plays in its Chrome/Chromium window. Output selection depends on browser/device support; use OS sound settings if the browser exposes only the default output. WAV is the most portable format. Other codecs depend on the browser. The current limits are 150 MB per audio upload or portable bank, with all bank media included on export. Split larger banks. Playback/cue timing depends on browser/audio buffering, not sample-accurate broadcast automation. No NDI output or remote production control is included.
