Race Timing System: Graphical network camera connections
Operational reference for graphical network camera connections in Race Timing System.
Graphical network camera connections
Open Cameras in the navigation (/cameras). Choose a camera ID and configured checkpoint, then choose SRT, NDI, or RTSP. Connect and detect bibs starts a supervised camera session, displays its latest sampled/cropped video frame, and sends detected bib observations into the existing Camera review queue. Confirm the preview/checkpoint and review observations before using them as crossings. No automatic approval is added. Disconnect stops that session and its capture processes. Active sessions stop when the foreground timing receiver closes; reconnect after restarting. No daemon or scheduler is installed.
Availability badges identify installed dependencies. A session waiting for video is distinguished from recent frames, failure, completion and deliberate disconnect. A preview's age is shown, so an old image cannot be mistaken for a live feed. Capture runs for at most 10,000 sampled frames per session; reconnect for a longer session. Disconnect before changing the same camera ID. The GUI uses authenticated, CSRF-protected connect/disconnect/discovery actions; previews and session status require the existing local login.
